FAISALABAD, Jul 29 (APP):Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhaira has approved the promotion of 177 police officers during a Departmental Promotion Board meeting and said that Punjab Police are committed to timely career progression and enhanced public service.
According to the Regional Police spokesperson, the Departmental Promotion Board meeting was convened under the chairmanship of RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhaira to ensure prompt disposal of departmental promotion cases.
During meeting, the board approved the promotion of total 177 police officers serving across Faisalabad region. The promotions include 68 Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) who were cleared for elevation to the rank of Sub Inspector (SI) and 109 Head Constables who were approved for promotion as Assistant Sub Inspectors.
Congratulating the promoted officers, the RPO urged them to discharge their enhanced responsibilities with greater dedication, integrity and an unwavering commitment to public service.
He said that departmental promotion was the fundamental right of every police officer and official, adding that the police leadership was ensuring its timely implementation in accordance with merit and departmental rules.
He further said that the promotion drive reflected the Punjab Police’s resolve to strengthen the welfare of its officers and personnel while encouraging professionalism and high performance throughout the region.
“The advancement in rank not only recognizes an officer’s professional competence and dedication but also brings great responsibility to serve the public more effectively and uphold the highest standards of policing,” he added.
