KP’s first summer learning and grooming festival concludes in Mansehra
MANSEHRA, Jul 29 (APP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s first Summer Learning and Grooming Festival 2026 concluded with a colorful closing ceremony in Mansehra, where education officials announced that the initiative would continue in the future to promote students’ personality development, national unity and confidence.
Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Abbottabad, Inayatullah Waseem, who was the chief guest, said the festival was conceived by Provincial Education Minister Arshad Ayub Khan and Secretary Education Khalid Khan. He said the event was organized in a short time with the support of District Education Officers and their teams, while students from terrorism-affected districts were given special priority.
He encouraged students to learn about Pakistan’s history and culture, develop the habit of asking questions and appreciate the languages and traditions of different regions. He also announced that the matriculation examination results were ready and the answer scripts of position holders would be uploaded to the board’s website.
Addressing the ceremony, Additional Secretary Education and festival focal person Muhammad Hayat Shah said the festival aimed to build students’ personalities, promote national cohesion and enhance self-confidence.
He said around 3,000 students, accompanied by nearly 320 teachers and support staff, participated in four phases of the programme held in Swat, Abbottabad and Mansehra.
He added that students from 16 districts participated in the first phase and confirmed that the festival would continue in the coming years, with this year’s host districts becoming guests in future editions.
PTI Provincial Vice President Kamal Saleem Swati, speaking at the ceremony, appreciated the Education Department for organizing the festival and urged students to take pride in their language, culture and national identity. He stressed that quality education should be accompanied by strong moral character and respect for teachers.
Director Education Jafar Mansoor Abbasi described the festival as an unforgettable experience for participating students and urged them to remain committed to learning for the country’s progress.
The ceremony featured speeches, patriotic songs, cultural performances and other activities presented by students from across the province.
