MULTAN, Jul 29 (APP): Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said on Wednesday that access to free and quality education, health and basic facilities was a constitutional right of citizens.
Addressing the graduation ceremony of Al-Khidmat Foundation’s Bano Qabil programme in Multan, he said the initiative had become a source of hope for youth across the country by providing them modern skills and better opportunities.
He noted that more than 200,000 children were out of school in Multan and called for greater state investment in education. He said Al-Khidmat Foundation would continue offering free training to youth wishing to pursue further courses under the Bano Qabil initiative.
The ceremony was also addressed by JI South Punjab chief Syed Zeeshan Akhtar, Qaim South Punjab Sanaullah, district chief Sohaib Ammar Siddiqui, Al-Khidmat South Punjab president Ahmad Ammar Yasir, and Al-Khidmat Multan president Syed Abdul Qadir Shah.
A large number of graduating students attended the event, and the JI chief also visited stalls showcasing projects prepared by the students.
