Foolproof security arrangements finalised for Chehlum in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI, Jul 29 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera held a meeting to review security arrangements for the procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) with the organisers and members of the District Peace Committee here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the CPO discussed the comprehensive security plan for Chehlum processions and religious gatherings, emphasizing that foolproof security measures would be ensured across the district.
He said that all security arrangements would be implemented in accordance with the code of conduct and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Punjab government.
The organisers of the procession and members of the District Peace Committee expressed satisfaction with the security arrangements and reaffirmed their commitment to support law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and ensuring strict adherence to the law.
According to the police spokesperson, the meeting reflected the joint resolve of the police, procession organisers, and peace committee members to ensure the peaceful observance of Chehlum.
