KP Elite Force constable killed in Swat counter-terrorism operation

KOHAT , Jul 29 (APP):A constable from  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Elite Police Force was killed during a counter-terrorism operation in  Swat, the police said on Wednesday.

Constable, Gulfam Khan Bangash, a resident of the Fateh Khan Khel area of Kohat district, was part of an Elite Force unit conducting an operation against suspected militants when he was fatally wounded in an exchange of fire, they added.

The security forces later cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down militants who fled after the clash, the officials said.

The authorities said arrangements were underway to transport Bangash’s body to his native village in Kohat for burial with full official honors.
