ISLAMABAD, Jul 28 (APP):The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has removed multiple illegal billboards and advertising structures during an enforcement operation in Naval Enclave and Jinnah Garden, officials said.
The action was carried out by Assistant Commissioner (Rural) Fahad Cheema against advertisements installed without official approval.
According to the district administration, several billboards and promotional displays had been placed at different locations in the two housing areas without obtaining the required permissions. Following inspections, enforcement teams launched an operation and removed the unauthorized structures.
Officials said advertisements and billboards can only be installed after securing approval from the relevant authorities. The administration noted that unauthorized displays not only violate regulations but can also create issues in public spaces and along roads.
During the operation, teams inspected various sites and cleared locations where illegal advertising material had been erected. Authorities stated that monitoring of commercial and residential areas will continue to identify and remove unapproved structures.
Assistant Commissioner (Rural) Fahad Cheema said enforcement teams are conducting regular checks to ensure compliance with advertising rules. He added that action will continue against individuals or businesses found installing billboards without permission.
The district administration urged advertisers and property owners to follow legal procedures before displaying promotional material. Officials said similar operations will be carried out in other areas to ensure adherence to regulations governing outdoor advertising.
