IG Islamabad reviews nationwide police recruitment online, stresses merit and transparency
ISLAMABAD, Jul 28 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Tuesday chaired an online meeting to monitor the ongoing Islamabad Police recruitment process at test centres across Pakistan, directing officers to ensure strict merit, complete transparency and equal opportunities for all candidates.
An ICT Police spokesperson told APP that the meeting was attended via Zoom by DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Ateeq Tahir, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq and other senior police officers, while officials of the National Police Foundation (NPF) also participated.
During the meeting, the IGP Rizvi reviewed live updates on the arrangements at recruitment test centres established in different cities across the country, the facilities being provided to candidates and the progress of every stage of the recruitment process.
Rizvi directed that the entire recruitment exercise be conducted strictly on merit, with complete transparency and in accordance with the prescribed rules and procedures. He emphasized that all candidates must be provided equal opportunities and the best possible facilities throughout the process.
The IGP Rizvi further instructed officers deployed at the test centres to personally supervise every stage of the recruitment exercise, ensure candidates’ convenience and maintain well-organised arrangements so that the selection process remained fair, transparent and credible.
Officials of the National Police Foundation also reviewed the ongoing arrangements and reaffirmed their coordination to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of the recruitment process across all test centres./APP-rzr-mkz
