Saudi Arabia to host UNESCO Global Forum on AI ethics in Riyadh
ISLAMABAD, Jul 28 (APP):Saudi Arabia has opened registration for the Fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence 2026, bringing together policymakers, technology experts and international organizations to advance responsible AI governance and innovation.
According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the forum is being organized by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) in partnership with UNESCO and in collaboration with the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE). It will be held in Riyadh from September 14 to 17, 2026.
SPA told APP that the four-day event will bring together leading policymakers, academics, researchers, industry leaders and representatives from international organizations, as well as public and private sector institutions from around the world.
The forum is one of the world’s leading international platforms dedicated to the ethics of artificial intelligence and aims to promote global dialogue on responsible AI governance, facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices, and explore the role of AI in supporting sustainable development.
Participants will discuss key issues including AI ethics, governance, responsible innovation, capacity building and international policy through high-level sessions and specialized workshops featuring global experts.
The forum reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to promoting trusted and responsible artificial intelligence while strengthening international cooperation in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
SDAIA has invited policymakers, researchers, innovators and AI professionals from around the world to register and participate in the global event, which is expected to contribute to shaping the future of ethical artificial intelligence.
