A six-year-old girl lost her life while five others sustained injuries after the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in the Adda Hari Chand area of Burewala following heavy rainfall, Rescue 1122 officials said on Monday.

BUREWALA, Jul 27 (APP): A six-year-old girl lost her life while five others sustained injuries after the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in the Adda Hari Chand area of Burewala following heavy rainfall, Rescue 1122 officials said on Monday.
According to Rescue 1122, continuous rain caused water to accumulate on the weak roof, which suddenly caved in, trapping the occupants beneath the debris.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the emergency call and launched a rescue operation. They successfully pulled all the victims out from under the rubble.
The deceased was identified as Anamta Bibi, 6, who had succumbed to her injuries before rescuers could save her.
The injured were identified as Ghulam Mustafa, 60, Aziz Mai, 50, Ali Zain, 11, Rehan Ali, 6, and Ayan Ali, 5. They were provided first aid and shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
