Gold prices jump by Rs4,000 per tola

The prices of gold witnessed a sharp increase in the local market on Monday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola surging by Rs4,000 to settle at Rs431,736, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 27 (APP): The prices of gold witnessed a sharp increase in the local market on Monday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola surging by Rs4,000 to settle at Rs431,736, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs3,430 to Rs370,144, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs3,145 to Rs339,311.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $40 to $4,093 per ounce, the association reported.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs100 to Rs6,397, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs86 to Rs5,484.
The price of silver in the international market also increased by $1.00 to $59.18 per ounce, the association added.
