MoFA launches evening shift for consular services in Islamabad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has launched an evening shift for consular services at its headquarters in Islamabad, extending service hours from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday to Friday.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 27 (APP): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has launched an evening shift for consular services at its headquarters in Islamabad, extending service hours from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Announcing the initiative on his official X account, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday said the decision reflected the government’s commitment to making consular services more accessible, convenient and efficient.

“As part of our commitment to improving public service delivery, I am pleased to announce the launch of an Evening Shift for Consular Services at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” DPM/FM Dar said, adding that citizens can now avail consular services from 8:00am to 8:00pm on all working days.

According to a public notice issued by the Ministry’s Consular Affairs Division, the evening shift at MoFA Headquarters came into effect on Monday, July 27, 2026, to facilitate applicants and further improve the delivery of consular services.

The notification states that service tokens for the morning shift will be issued from 8:00am to 12:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and from 8:00am to 11:00am on Fridays. For the evening shift, tokens will be issued from 3:00pm to 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday, and from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Fridays.
