195,000 women receive BISP payments
SARGODHA, Jul 27 (APP):As many as 195,000 registered women beneficiaries in the district have received payments under the June-July 2026 tranche of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
Talking to APP here on Monday,Assistant Director BISP, Sumaira said that each beneficiary received Rs14,500 under the latest tranche.She said payments had been made to 80,000 women in Sargodha, 15,000 each in Bhalwal and Bhera, 10,000 in Kot Momin, and 25,000 each in Sahiwal, Sillanwali and Shahpur.
Sumaira said the district had a total of 214,000 registered BISP beneficiaries, adding that the programme was providing all possible facilities to ensure smooth and transparent distribution of payments.
She further said the SIM distribution process under the digital wallet system was continuing, with around 99 per cent of the work completed.
