INL delegation visits IED tactics room project at Capital Police College
ISLAMABAD, Jul 24 (APP):A delegation from the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) visited the under-construction Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Tactics Room at the Capital Police College Islamabad to review progress on the facility.
A police official told APP on Friday that SSP Law & Order/Training and Discipline Captain (R) Hamza Humayun accompanied the delegation during the visit and briefed its members on the ongoing construction work and the project’s objectives.
The delegation was informed that the IED Tactics Room is being established to strengthen the professional capacity of Islamabad Police personnel by providing advanced training in bomb threat assessment, IED detection, disposal tactics and operational response.
The delegation appreciated the pace of construction and discussed the importance of modern training infrastructure in enhancing the operational preparedness of law enforcement personnel against evolving security challenges.
The official told APP that the project reflects the continued cooperation between Islamabad Police and INL in promoting capacity building, specialized training and the adoption of international best practices in policing.
