Baku Judicial Conference: Pakistan reinforces judicial cooperation

ISLAMABAD, Jul 24 (APP):Reinforcing its commitment to international judicial cooperation and the advancement of judicial excellence, the Supreme Court of Pakistan contributed to the 3-day Executive Judicial Training Programme, jointly organized by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of Pakistan, and the Ministry of Justice, Republic of Azerbaijan at Baku.

Representing the Supreme Court of Pakistan as a distinguished resource person, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb joined eminent judges, legal experts, and justice sector professionals in sharing comparative experiences and best practices on contemporary issues in judicial administration.

Justice Aurangzeb delivered a specialized session on “ADR: A Global Perspective – A Guide for Judges,” highlighting the transformative role of alternative dispute resolution in expanding access to justice, improving judicial efficiency, and strengthening public confidence in the administration of justice.

Drawing upon comparative international experience and Pakistan’s evolving ADR framework, he emphasized the importance of equipping judges with modern dispute resolution tools to ensure timely, effective, and citizen-centric justice.

The four-day executive programme featured expert-led sessions on judicial craft, courtroom conduct, judicial ethics, institutional integrity, case management, communication skills, electronic archiving of court records, data integrity, and judicial decision-making.

The participation of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in this international initiative reflects its enduring commitment to contributing to global judicial dialogue, promoting judicial education, and strengthening institutional partnerships through the exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices.
