PESHAWAR, Jul 24 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday sought a report from the relevant authorities on the terrorist attack on the Manjhi Khel check post in Tank district, describing the assault as a heinous act carried out by “India-backed Khawarij.”
Expressing profound grief over the loss of security personnel in the attack, the Governor said the entire nation was mourning the martyrdom of the brave officials who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
He directed the authorities to ensure the provision of the best possible medical treatment to the injured personnel without delay.
The Governor said he shared the grief of the families of the martyrs and their fellow personnel, paying tribute to the sacrifices rendered by the country’s security forces for the defence of Pakistan.
He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls, the speedy recovery of the injured, and courage for the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss.
