RAWALPINDI, Jul 23 (APP):A delegation from the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) called on City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Hasan Mushtaq Sukhera, here on Thursday to congratulate him on assuming his new responsibilities and to discuss key civic and security challenges facing the local business community.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on the overall law and order situation, traffic management grids, challenges confronting the business sector, and the optimized implementation of the Safe City Project across the district.
Led by RCCI Acting President Khalid Farooq Qazi, the delegation emphasized that a secure, peaceful environment remained paramount to fostering economic activity and attracting investment. They noted that enhanced traffic routing and modern surveillance coverage would directly benefit both citizens and local commercial hubs.
Welcoming the delegation, CPO Hasan Mushtaq Sukhera commended the Chamber’s constructive engagement and assured that Rawalpindi Police remain fully committed to protecting citizens and the business community. He said that all available resources would be deployed to maintain law and order, ease traffic flow, and expand Safe City surveillance integration.
Speaking on the occasion, RCCI Acting President, Khalid Farooq Qazi reiterated that the Chamber believes in close, continuous collaboration with law enforcement agencies to resolve institutional and commercial concerns. He also extended a formal invitation to the CPO to visit the RCCI premises for an interactive session with trade body members.
The visiting delegation comprised Group Leader and Former President Sohail Altaf, Vice President Fahad Barlas, former presidents Dr. Hassan Sarosh, Malik Shahid Saleem, Nadeem A. Rauf, Saqib Rafiq, and Chairman RCCI Chamber Police Coordination Committee Aslam Naqash.
