RAWALPINDI, Jul 22 (APP): A delegation of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), led by Acting President Khalid Farooq Qazi, called on the Federal Minister for Railways, Hanif Abbasi to discuss key issues related to infrastructure development, logistics, and trade facilitation.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on the progress of the Rawalpindi Ring Road Project and the development of economic and industrial zones, emphasizing their significance in promoting regional economic growth, attracting investment, and improving connectivity.
The RCCI delegation congratulated the minister on the improved performance of Pakistan Railways and appreciated the ongoing efforts to modernize the railway sector.
The delegation also highlighted the need for further improvements in the railway cargo system, stressing that enhanced cargo services and dedicated facilities for RCCI members would significantly reduce logistics costs, facilitate trade, and improve the efficiency of goods transportation.
The RCCI delegation included Group Leader and former president Sohail Altaf.
