Gujar Khan Police arrested murder suspect two weeks after fatal shooting
RAWALPINDI, Jul 21 (APP):Police have arrested the main suspect of fatally shooting a man over a longstanding personal dispute in Gujar Khan two weeks ago.
According to police spokesperson, the suspect, along with an accomplice, allegedly opened fire on the victim, resulting in his death before fleeing the scene.
Gujar Khan Police registered a case and launched an investigation, using technical surveillance and human intelligence to trace and arrest the suspect.
Police said the alleged accomplice had already been arrested in an earlier operation. Superintendent of Police (SP), Saddar Anum Sher said the suspect would be presented before the court with substantial evidence to ensure the case was prosecuted in accordance with the law.
Likewise, Waris Khan Police have arrested a suspect wanted in an attempted murder case involving the stabbing of his son-in-law during a domestic dispute.
The accused allegedly attacked his son-in-law with a knife following a family altercation, leaving the victim injured.
Police said the suspect was arrested during a targeted operation and has been taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
