Chinese delegation holds interactive session with business community, B2B meetings
LAHORE, Jul 20 (APP):Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Atif Ikram Sheikh said on Monday that enduring friendship between Pakistan and China is opening new avenues of cooperation in the areas of industry, trade, and investment.
He highlighted that Business-to-Business (B2B) forums provide Pakistani industrialists with valuable opportunities to access modern technologies, establish joint ventures, and expand their presence in international markets.
The FPCCI Regional Office Lahore hosted an exclusive interactive session and B2B meetings with a high-level Chinese trade delegation.
On the occasion, Senior Vice President FPCCI, Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, welcomed the delegation and emphasized that economic and trade relations between Pakistan and China are continuously strengthening. He noted that direct engagement between the private sectors of both countries will play a pivotal role in promoting economic growth and mutual prosperity. He reaffirmed FPCCI’s commitment to further enhancing business linkages and cooperation between the business communities of Pakistan and China.
Convener Color & Chem Expo, Abdul Rahim Chughtai, stated that strong private-sector collaboration is essential for expanding industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China. He highlighted that joint ventures, technology transfer, and investment in key sectors including textiles, dyes and chemicals, paints, leather, footwear, and other industries can significantly contribute to increasing Pakistan’s export potential.
The leaders of the Chinese delegation Wang Yu also addressed the participants and expressed their keen interest in Pakistan’s market. Chinese delegates conveyed their willingness to promote joint investments, industrial partnerships, and long-term cooperation in various sectors.
The high-level Chinese trade delegation comprised 58 leading Chinese manufacturing companies, which held comprehensive discussions with Pakistani industrialists and business representatives on opportunities for joint ventures, strategic partnerships, technology exchange, distribution networks, investment prospects, and sustainable trade cooperation.
Following the interactive session, B2B meetings were held between Pakistani and Chinese companies, providing a platform for one-on-one business discussions and exploring potential collaborations in joint ventures, imports, exports, industrial cooperation, and investment.
The Chinese delegation represented various industrial sectors, including textiles and garments, paints and coatings, leather and leather products, detergents and chemicals, and footwear.
The participating companies expressed keen interest in strengthening trade relations and developing business partnerships with the Pakistani business community.
