Ali Dar visits Huawei’s Lianqiuhu Research & Development Center in Shanghai

LAHORE, Jul 20 (APP): Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on AI and Special Initiatives Ali Dar visited Huawei’s Lianqiuhu Research & Development Center in Shanghai, where he was briefed on the company’s latest Artificial Intelligence and digital governance solutions.

Huawei Vice President and Chief Solution Architect (Government Public Services, Digitalization) Jianfeng Shen and Peng Wang presented advanced AI technologies and discussed their potential application in transforming public service delivery across Punjab.

During the meeting, both sides explored opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence and digital governance to enhance efficiency, transparency, and citizen-centric public services. Discussions also focused on adopting global best practices to accelerate Punjab’s digital transformation agenda.

Speaking on the occasion, Ali Dar said that under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab is being transformed into South Asia’s leading AI hub.

He stated that Artificial Intelligence will play a pivotal role in making governance more transparent, efficient, and responsive to the needs of citizens, while digital governance will significantly improve the speed, quality, and accountability of public service delivery.

Ali Dar further emphasised that partnerships with global technology leaders such as Huawei are strengthening the foundation of Punjab’s AI ecosystem.

He said that the Office of AI Punjab is committed to adopting world-class technologies to modernize government services and deliver faster, smarter, and more transparent solutions for citizens. He added that AI will serve as a catalyst for economic growth, innovation, investment, and the creation of new opportunities for Punjab’s youth.
