As a result, mainly hot and dry weather is expected to prevail across most districts during the next forty-eight to seventy-two hours.
Hot and dry conditions persist across Balochistan
QUETTA, Jul 20 (APP): The Regional Meteorological Center Quetta has reported that a seasonal low is lying over Balochistan, with moist currents from the Arabian Sea penetrating into the province. As a result, mainly hot and dry weather is expected to prevail across most districts during the next forty-eight to seventy-two hours.
Very hot conditions are likely in Nokkundi, Washuk, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Kech, Noshki, Quetta, Pishin, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi, Usta Muhammad, Sohbatpur and adjoining areas. In contrast, partly cloudy skies with chances of rain, wind and thunderstorms including a few heavy falls are forecast at isolated places in Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Qilla Saifullah, Kohlu, Khuzdar, Surab and surrounding regions.
Strong gusty winds are expected in most parts of the province during the afternoon and evening hours. The maximum temperature recorded was 47°C in Nokkundi, while Gwadar registered the lowest at 31.5°C.
Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious in view of the extreme heat and possible dust storms, while farmers and travelers are urged to plan accordingly as weather fluctuations may affect daily activities.
