SPA DG directs round-the-clock monitoring, timely payment of sanitation workers’ salaries
LAHORE, Jul 20 (APP): Suthra Punjab Authority (SPA) Director General Umer Javed has directed field monitoring officers to remain actively engaged in the field round-the-clock and instructed all officers to ensure the effective use of the digital monitoring dashboard for real-time supervision of sanitation operations.
A meeting of Suthra Punjab Agencies Managing Directors from across Punjab was convened at the Suthra Punjab Authority Headquarters here on Monday to review the performance of the ongoing sanitation operations and discuss measures for ensuring a uniform and effective cleanliness system throughout the province.
The DG also emphasized the need to pay special attention to sanitation and waste clearance in rural areas to ensure equal service delivery across Punjab.
Addressing the participants, DG Umer Javed said, “The Suthra Punjab Programme is a flagship initiative of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and its success depends on strong teamwork, effective coordination and continuous field monitoring.”
Umer Javed further directed all officers to ensure the immediate payment of salaries to sanitation workers in their respective jurisdictions.
He stressed that delays in salary disbursement by contractors would not be tolerated under any circumstances and instructed the concerned authorities to take prompt action wherever such issues exist.
The meeting reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to delivering a clean, healthy and sustainable environment for the people of Punjab through improved operational efficiency, enhanced monitoring and strict accountability.
