ISLAMABAD, Jul 20 (APP):A total of 82 illegally built structures, including 15 vacant houses and 67 shops, were demolished during an operation in Chontra village as part of the Islamabad district administration’s campaign against illegal construction and encroachments.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner Shalimar, while Deputy Commissioner Islamabad directed enforcement teams to continue daily actions against unlawful occupation of government land.

According to officials, enforcement teams conducted an operation in Chontra village under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner Shalimar. During the action, authorities demolished 15 vacant houses and 67 shops that had been constructed illegally on state-owned land.
The administration said the operation was part of an ongoing campaign aimed at protecting public land and preventing unauthorized development. Heavy machinery was used to remove the structures, while enforcement staff remained on site throughout the operation to ensure its completion.
Officials stated that the demolished properties had been built without legal approval and were occupying government land. The administration reiterated that no individual or group would be allowed to use public property for private purposes in violation of the law.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad directed all enforcement teams to continue anti-encroachment and anti-illegal construction operations on a daily basis. He instructed field officers to maintain vigilance and take immediate action wherever government land is found under unlawful occupation.
