A woman was rescued after she allegedly attempted to jump from the Chenab bridge following a domestic dispute, Rescue 1122 officials said on Monday.

MUZAFFARGARH, Jul 20 (APP): A woman was rescued after she allegedly attempted to jump from the Chenab bridge following a domestic dispute, Rescue 1122 officials said on Monday.
According to rescuers, personnel deployed at the bridge spotted the woman in a distressed condition and intervened in time to prevent her from jumping into the Chenab River.
A Rescue 1122 ambulance and a motorbike ambulance were dispatched to the scene to provide emergency assistance.
During initial investigation, the woman told rescuers she had reached the bridge after a domestic dispute.
She was examined at the scene and was found to have no visible injuries.
Saddar police station later reached the spot and took the woman into custody for further legal action.
