RAWALPINDI, Jul 16 (APP):The police arrested an alleged liquor supplier and recovered a large quantity of liquor from his possession during a routine patrolling operation in the jurisdiction of Chaklala police station on Thursday.
According to police spokesperson, police team stopped and checked a suspicious motorcyclist during patrolling, leading to the recovery of 36 bottles and 20 cans of liquor from his possession.
A case has been registered against the arrested suspect, while the motorcycle used by him has also been taken into police custody.
SP Potohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan said that all possible measures were being taken to eliminate the menace of narcotics and other illegal activities.
He directed police officials to continue strict action against those involved in the supply of drugs and liquor without any discrimination.
