DC visits Kahuta to review health, development projects under Suthra Punjab initiative

During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various key facilities, including the Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital Kahuta, Kahuta Bazar, the Municipal Committee, and the Assistant Commissioner’s Office.
While evaluating the healthcare facilities at the THQ Hospital, he inspected different departments and interacted with patients and their relatives to gather direct feedback on the medical services being provided.
He underscored that the health sector remained a vital pillar of public service and urged the medical staff to treat patients with the utmost courtesy and dedication.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted that providing superior medical facilities is the top priority of the Punjab government, urging healthcare professionals to serve humanity with honesty and commitment.
He also reviewed the progress, pace, and quality of the ongoing Kahuta Bazar Beautification Project.
He underlined the need for completing the beautification project within the designated timeframe so that local citizens could benefit from the upgraded infrastructure without any delay.
During his visit to the Municipal Committee and the Assistant Commissioner’s Office, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of the Suthra Punjab Programme along with other provincial development initiatives.
He observed that the sanitation and cleanliness systems in both urban and rural areas were being systematically upgraded under the Suthra Punjab initiative, which has yielded highly encouraging results.
He lauded the efforts of the local municipal staff and field workers for their hard work in keeping the streets and public spaces clean under the ongoing campaign.
Talking to the media at the conclusion of his visit, the Deputy Commissioner maintained that special focus was being laid on public service delivery, improved governance, and the timely completion of development projects in line with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He highlighted that the district administration was regularly monitoring all ongoing schemes to ensure that top-tier facilities are delivered directly to the public.
