The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Thursday arrested a junior clerk of the Highways Department for taking a bribe.

SARGODHA, Jul 16 (APP):The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Thursday arrested a junior clerk of the Highways Department for taking a bribe.
According to ACE sources, a tenderer identified as Muhammad Usman, son of Maqsood Ahmad and resident of Chak No. 47/48 TDA, Bhakkar, had submitted an application to the Regional Director of Anti-Corruption. The complainant alleged that the junior clerk, Muhammad Faisal Ghaffar, was demanding Rs 100,000 as a bribe to process the approval of his payment bills.
Upon receiving the application, the Regional Director constituted a special trap team under the supervision of Deputy Director Anti-Corruption Bhakkar, Ameer Abdullah, to investigate the matter.
The team, accompanied by Judicial Magistrate Section 30 Aslam Khan, conducted a raid and caught the accused red-handed with the marked bribe money.
Further legal proceedings against the accused were initiated
