KOHAT, Jul 16 (APP): A man was killed, and another was critically wounded in two separate shooting incidents in various areas of the district, the police said on Thursday.In an attack, a young man identified as Shakir was shot by unidentified assailants in the Burh area of Kohat. He received initial medical treatment before being transferred to a hospital in Peshawar due to the severity of his injuries, according to local sources. The shooting came a day after another attack in the Nusrat Khel area on the outskirts of Kohat, where Rab Nawaz, a resident of Charghari Shah Pur, was fatally shot by unknown gunmen. The attackers fled the scene before law enforcement officials arrived.

The police had launched separate investigations into both incidents, but no arrests had been made, they added.

The motives behind the attacks remain unknown.
