President Zardari approved the summary for conferment of the award, on recommendation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 16 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday approved the conferment of civil award, Hilal-e-Pakistan, upon Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the United Nations Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia.

The president, approved the summary for conferment of the award, on recommendation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to a President House press release.

Approving another summary, the president accepted the resignation of Fazal-e-Haq Abbasi, a member of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan.

He also approved the appointment of Zafar Hasan as a member of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), as recommended by the prime minister.
