ISLAMABAD, Jul 15 (APP): Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Wednesday announced that the crescent moon of Safar has been sighted in Pakistan, and Thursday, July 16, will be observed as the 1st of Safar.
The decision was announced by Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan, Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, following the committee’s meeting.
The announcement was subsequently confirmed by the relevant ministry.
