Registration for CM’s Livestock Card Program begins in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Jul 15 (APP): The formal registration for the Chief Minister Punjab Livestock Card Program commenced on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to provide interest-free loans of up to Rs 540,000.0 to livestock farmers across the province.
Under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, cattle breeders owning between 5 and 20 cows, buffaloes or calves are eligible to apply for this financial assistance.
According to the details, the interest-free loan can be utilized by farmers to cover essential expenses such as animal feed, silage, mineral supplements and vaccination, which will ultimately boost milk and meat production in the province.
A government spokesperson said that the program aims to strengthen the rural economy, promote modern animal husbandry practices, and elevate the incomes of small and medium-sized livestock owners. A key feature of the digital facility includes allowing farmers to withdraw up to 25 percent of the approved loan amount in cash.
Special help desks have been established in all tehsils of Rawalpindi district, including Rawalpindi, Gujar Khan, Kahuta, Kallar Syedan, and Taxila. Eligible farmers can register at their nearest Civil Veterinary Hospital or by calling the helpline at 08000-9211.
