RAWALPINDI, Jul 15 (APP): City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera conducted a late-night inspection of the Chehlum Imam Hussain (AS) procession route and directed officials to ensure foolproof security arrangements ahead of the religious observance.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations), Chief Traffic Officer, SP Rawal, SP Potohar, SP Security, and other senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
During the visit, the CPO issued detailed instructions to officers regarding security arrangements for the Chehlum procession.
He stressed that comprehensive and foolproof security measures would be implemented to ensure the peaceful observance of the event.
CPO Sukhera directed all concerned officers to strictly enforce the code of conduct and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Government of Punjab. He emphasized that all available resource would be utilized to safeguard the lives and property of citizens and maintain law and order throughout the Chehlum processions and related gatherings.
“The police are fully committed to ensure a peaceful environment during Chehlum, and all security measures will be implemented without compromise,” the CPO said.
