Federal Ombudsman Official meets SCCI president

In-charge of the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Gujranwala, Mushtaq Ahmed Awan, visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and held a meeting with SCCI President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar and other senior office-bearers.

SIALKOT, Jul 15 (APP): In-charge of the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Gujranwala, Mushtaq Ahmed Awan, visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and held a meeting with SCCI President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar and other senior office-bearers.
During the meeting, Mr. Awan briefed the chamber leadership on the role and functioning of the Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan in addressing public complaints against federal government departments. He also presented a list of 212 federal departments that fall under the Ombudsman’s jurisdiction.
Mr. Awan proposed connecting the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the Federal Ombudsman’s Complaint Management Information System (CMIS) online portal. The initiative aims to enable the Chamber to facilitate the submission and resolution of public complaints against the 212 federal departments covered by the Ombudsman’s office.
Welcoming the proposal, SCCI President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar thanked the Federal Ombudsman’s office and said the Chamber would make full use of the facility to better serve the business community.
At the conclusion of the visit, the SCCI President expressed his appreciation to Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed Awan for visiting the Chamber and presented him with a commemorative shield in recognition of his visit.
