LAHORE, Jul 15 (APP): The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore on Wednesday accelerated its cleanliness drive across the provincial capital by installing 200 smart waste bins in Journalists Colony under the directives of Director General Suthra Punjab Authority Babar Sahib Din. The installation was formally inaugurated by Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari during a ceremony held in Journalists Colony. DGM Circle-II Operations Anees Janjua and other officials of the Suthra Punjab Agency were also present on the occasion. Speaking at the ceremony, officials said the installation of smart waste bins outside residential houses in Journalists Colony was continuing as part of efforts to improve waste management and maintain a cleaner environment. They added that 100 percent door-to-door waste collection was being carried out in the colony, ensuring efficient disposal of household waste. Addressing the gathering, Arshad Ansari appreciated the performance of the Suthra Punjab Authority, saying it was delivering exemplary sanitation services in Lahore. He thanked DG Babar Sahib Din for directing the installation of smart waste bins in Circle-II, describing the initiative as an important step toward promoting cleanliness and better municipal services.
