Woman swept away by Indus river current in Attock; rescue teams continue search

A 35-year-old woman was swept away by the strong current of the Indus River near Mullan Mansoor in Hazro Tehsil on Tuesday, prompting Rescue 1122 to launch an extensive search operation to locate her.

ATTOCK, Jul 14 (APP): A 35-year-old woman was swept away by the strong current of the Indus River near Mullan Mansoor in Hazro Tehsil on Tuesday, prompting Rescue 1122 to launch an extensive search operation to locate her.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the woman, the wife of Akhtar Ali, was cutting grass along the riverbank when she reportedly lost her footing, slipped into the river, and was carried away by the fast-flowing water.
Rescue 1122 Attock responded immediately after receiving the emergency call, dispatching an ambulance and specialized Water Rescue Teams to the scene. Trained rescue divers equipped with modern SCUBA gear began a coordinated search operation in an effort to trace the missing woman.
Officials said the search operation remains underway and will continue until the woman is recovered.
