Commissioner Hazara launches monsoon tree plantation campaign 2026 in Nathiagali

Commissioner Hazara Division Fayyaz Ali Shah on Tuesday launched the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2026 by planting a deodar sapling at the Commissioner’s Camp Office in Nathiagali.

ABBOTTABAD, Jul 14 (APP): Commissioner Hazara Division Fayyaz Ali Shah on Tuesday launched the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2026 by planting a deodar sapling at the Commissioner’s Camp Office in Nathiagali.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the commissioner said that tree plantation had become a pressing need in view of the increasing impacts of climate change.
He said planting trees was vital for protecting the environment and ensuring a safer future for the coming generations.
He termed tree plantation a lasting charitable act and urged citizens to actively participate in the campaign.
He said the district administration, Forest Department and other relevant departments would work jointly to make the drive successful, while a special awareness campaign would also be launched to encourage public participation.
Fayyaz Ali Shah stressed that the success of the campaign depended not only on planting saplings but also on their proper care and protection to ensure their survival.
He called upon the public to make the most of the monsoon season by planting more trees and playing their role in building a greener, safer and more prosperous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
