Husband arrested for brutal axe attack on wife

FAISALABAD, Jul 13 (APP): The police have arrested a man on charge of brutally attacking his wife with an axe in the area of Muridwala police station.

Police spokesman said that accused Muhammad Boota allegedly assaulted his wife, Rani, with an axe and inflicted injuries on her. The attack was triggered after the woman reportedly asked her husband not to bring his friends to the house. Over this issue, the man became enraged and struck her with the axe.

After receiving complaint, Station House Officer (SHO) Muridwala police station Qamar-uz-Zaman led a police team and arrested the accused while further investigation was under progress, spokesman added.
