PHA orders upgrading of public parks to modern standards

RAWALPINDI, Jul 13 (APP): Managing Director (MD) Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, here on Monday directed officials to upgrade all public parks in accordance with modern standards to provide citizens with high-quality recreational facilities.

During a special visit to Mohra Sharif Park and Ayesha Park in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, the managing director conducted a detailed inspection of ongoing beautification efforts, cleanliness, tree plantation and recreational facilities.

He instructed the staff to adopt a comprehensive strategy to expand the plantation of seasonal flowers, ensure regular trimming of green areas, improve the irrigation system, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the parks.

Ahmed Hassan also inspected walking tracks, children’s play equipments, public benches and lighting arrangements, ordering the relevant staff to keep all amenities fully functional to ensure a safe experience for families. He emphasized that providing a clean and peaceful environment for children, women, and senior citizens remained a fundamental responsibility of the authority.

Ranjha added that, in line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, all available resources were being utilized to transform Rawalpindi into a greener and environmentally friendly city. He instructed the field staff to ensure effective daily monitoring and complete all ongoing development and beautification projects within the stipulated time.
