Rescue 1122 responds to 89 emergencies, maintains water rescue deployment along Swat River

Rescue 1122 Malakand responded to 89 emergencies during the week from July 6 to July 12, providing rescue services to 80 people across the district.

MALAKAND, Jul 13 (APP):Rescue 1122 Malakand responded to 89 emergencies during the week from July 6 to July 12, providing rescue services to 80 people across the district.
According to the weekly performance report, the emergencies included 69 medical cases, eight road traffic accidents, two fire incidents, three shooting and violence cases, and seven recovery operations.
The Rescue 1122 control room received 2,674 calls during the reporting period. In addition, the referral ambulance service shifted 40 patients from one hospital to another, including 11 referrals within the district and 29 to hospitals outside the district.
Meanwhile, Rescue 1122 has also deployed water rescue teams and local volunteers at vulnerable locations along the Swat River to ensure public safety amid the ongoing monsoon season.
On the directives of District Emergency Officer Nasir Khan, rescue personnel equipped with essential lifesaving equipment have been stationed at Pul Chowki, Batkhela Headworks, Thana Family Park, Joyland Park, Teri and Totakan.
The teams remain on high alert and are continuously monitoring these sensitive locations to respond swiftly to any emergency.
Rescue 1122 urged the public to exercise caution near rivers and canals, avoid entering the water unnecessarily, and immediately dial 1122 in case of any emergency.
