LAHORE, Jul 12 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Sunday expressed deep sorrow over the death of renowned cartoonist Shaukat Mahmood (Maxim) and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
In her condolence message, the chief minister said Shaukat Mahmood made invaluable contributions to visual and graphic journalism, giving it a new dimension through his creative work.
She paid tribute to the late artist’s excellence in both cartooning and Islamic architecture, saying his services to art and journalism would be remembered for a long time.
CM Maryam Nawaz prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for strength and patience for the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
