ABBOTTABAD, Jul 12 (APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Tourism Malik Adeel Iqbal on Saturday announced a series of tourism and environmental initiatives for Galiyat, while directing authorities to immediately halt illegal construction and ensure strict enforcement of the court-imposed ban to protect the region’s natural beauty.
During his visit to Galiyat, he stressed that the region’s natural beauty and environment would be protected at all costs and urged citizens to report any activities damaging the ecosystem.
The tourism adviser also announced plans to establish a tourism office in Galiyat, said the historic Ayubia Chairlift would soon be made operational, and inaugurated the 700-metre Donga Gali Town Road and a sewerage project in Nathia Gali. Officials briefed him that 11 wastewater treatment plants would be installed under the provincial government’s environmental improvement programme to help preserve Galiyat’s natural environment.
