Young labourer dies after mud of soil fell on him while digging foundation of house in Lodhran

LODHRAN, Jul 12 (APP): An 18-year-old labourer died after being buried under soil while digging the foundation of an under-construction house in Dunyapur tehsil on Sunday.

The incident occurred at Chak 321/WB on Khanewal Road, where the victim, identified as Fazal Elahi, son of Fazal Karim, was excavating a nearly 10-foot-deep foundation pit. A portion of the pit suddenly collapsed, trapping him under the debris.

Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and retrieved him from the soil, but he died before being shifted to hospital. The family refused to move the body to a hospital, and Rescue 1122 handed it over to the heirs after completing legal formalities.
