District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan, Ziauddin Ahmed, conducted a late-night visit to Yarik Police Station and inspected security arrangements, including checkpoints established along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route and at key entry and exit points of the city, an official spokesman said on Sunday.

Dera Ismail Khan, Jul 12 (APP): District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan, Ziauddin Ahmed, conducted a late-night visit to Yarik Police Station and inspected security arrangements, including checkpoints established along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route and at key entry and exit points of the city, an official spokesman said on Sunday.
During the visit, the DPO reviewed the overall performance of the police station, assessed security measures, and inspected the duties being performed by police personnel.
He was accompanied by SP Paharpur Division Iqbal Khan Baloch, SP Sadar Asif Mehmood, DSP Panyala Sardar Alamgir Khan, SHO CTD Khabab Khan Baloch, and SHO Yarik Police Station Bakhtiar Khan.
The spokesman said SHO CTD Khabab Khan Baloch briefed the DPO on the area’s security situation using drone footage, enabling a detailed aerial assessment of sensitive locations.
Later, under the supervision of the DPO, police carried out checking operations at checkpoints on the CPEC route and various entry and exit points of the city.
During the operation, police conducted thorough checking of several suspicious vehicles and individuals while also reviewing the effectiveness of security arrangements and checkpoint procedures.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Ziauddin Ahmed directed officers and personnel to utilize all available resources to ensure the protection of lives and property and maintain law and order.
He said security of the CPEC route and other sensitive installations remained among the top priorities of the district police, adding that the force was fully alert and prepared to respond effectively to any untoward situation.
The DPO reaffirmed that indiscriminate action against criminals, suspicious elements, and those attempting to disturb peace would continue to ensure a safe and secure environment for the public, the spokesman added.
