BISP chairperson raises awareness on digital wallets, free Benazir SIMs during field visit

ISLAMABAD, Jul 11 (APP): Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, on Saturday interacted with women beneficiaries during her visit to Swat, listened to their grievances and raised awareness about the safe use of Digital Wallets and free Benazir SIMs.
During her visit to the Barikot and Babuzai tehsil offices, she raised awareness about the safe use of Digital Wallets, supervised the distribution of free Benazir SIMs and directed officials to ensure transparent and dignified service delivery.

She listened to the grievances of women beneficiaries and directed the relevant officials to ensure their prompt resolution.
Member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mehr Sultana Advocate accompanied her during the visit.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Senator Rubina Khalid said activation of Digital Wallets was completely free, while the cash withdrawal service fee had been fixed at Rs280.
She said beneficiaries’ funds remained secure in their Digital Wallets and there was no need to withdraw the money immediately, as they could collect their payments at any time from any authorized retailer of the designated partner bank.

She urged women beneficiaries to receive their full stipend and remain vigilant against any unauthorized deductions, besides educating them on the safe and proper use of Digital Wallets.
The chairperson personally supervised the distribution of free Benazir SIMs to women beneficiaries, provided practical guidance on their importance and reviewed the ongoing SIM distribution process.
She directed the concerned staff to ensure that the SIM distribution continued with complete transparency, efficiency and discipline.

Senator Rubina Khalid also instructed BISP officers and field staff to treat all women beneficiaries with dignity, respect and courtesy while ensuring the timely, transparent and dignified delivery of services.
She said serving deserving families was not merely an official responsibility but also a national duty, emphasizing that serving humanity was a source of immense reward.
Director General BISP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Alaf Jan Afridi was also present during the visit.
