MULTAN, Jul 11 (APP): The divisional administration and the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) have announced plans to beautify two major intersections of the city under a joint initiative.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Commissioner Aamir Karim to review the improvement and beautification of city intersections in line with the directions of the Punjab government. Managing Director PHA Waseem Hassan and officials of the concerned departments attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk at Chungi No. 14 and Bahawalpur Bypass Chowk would be upgraded with modern landscaping, aesthetic structures and extensive tree plantation to enhance the city’s beauty and promote greenery.
Commissioner Aamir Karim said the remaining intersections of the city would also be improved in phases to make them more attractive. He directed that all development work be carried out in a transparent manner while maintaining high construction standards.
He said the administration was giving equal importance to monument construction, landscaping and plantation, adding that all projects would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
MD PHA Waseem Hassan said the Punjab chief minister’s green initiative would be implemented across the city to enhance the urban environment.
