SAUDI ARABIA, Jul 10 (APP): Pakistani Mango Exhibition held at Danube Hyper Market Red Sea Mall in Jeddah.
The colorful Mango Exhibition was organized by the Consulate General of Pakistan with the cooperation of the Pakistan Investor Forum.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani. large number of Saudi citizens, guests, including dignitaries, diplomats, members of civil society, members of the business community, and media persons attended the ceremony.
The festival included Pakistan’s famous mangoes, including Chounsa, Anwar Ratol, Sindri, Langra, Dussehri and other high-quality varieties.
The participants appreciated the taste of the mangoes and praised the quality of Pakistani agricultural produce.
While talking to Saudi media, Consul General Pakistan Syed Mustafa Rabbani stated that such festivals are to further strengthen trade relations between the two countries. Pakistan is the 5th largest producer and the 3rd largest exporter of mangoes.
He proudly stated that the mango is called the ‘King of Fruits’ and Pakistani mango is among the sweetest fruits on the face of the earth. He further stated that our two provinces, Punjab and Sindh, are known for growing over 200 main varieties of mangoes.
He added that over 100,000 tons of the best quality mangoes of different varieties are exported from Pakistan to markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Far East.
The Consul General said that Saudi Arabia is an important market for Pakistani mangoes and that their demand is continuously increasing here.
He said that such festivals play an important role in further strengthening trade relations between the two countries as well as introducing Pakistani fruits to the world. The participants in the festival said that Pakistani mangoes are known for their unique aroma, and Pakistan earns around $ 100 million annually from the export of mangoes.
He hoped that the export of mangoes to Saudi Arabia would surge with more varieties of mangoes introduced in the near future.
