ASP reviews murder probe as SP Traffic inspects Kohat Police driving school

KOHAT, Jul 9 (APP):Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rana Tahir on Thursday reviewed the investigation into the alleged murder of a woman in the Bilitang Police Station jurisdiction, directing investigators to conduct a transparent, merit-based inquiry and expedite the arrest of the suspect.
The ASP visited the crime scene to inspect evidence and received a detailed briefing from the investigation team on the progress of the case. He instructed officers to make full use of modern forensic techniques and all available resources to ensure the accused is apprehended and brought before the court. Later, he visited the victim’s family to offer condolences and assured them that police were pursuing the investigation from every possible angle. A case has been registered against the suspect, who remains at large, while efforts to arrest him are continuing.
In a separate development, SP Traffic Kohat Shah Hassan Khan visited the Kohat Police Driving School to review its training facilities and ongoing programmes. During the inspection, he examined classrooms, training vehicles, driving tracks and other facilities, and received a briefing on the school’s theoretical and practical driver training system.
Emphasising the importance of road safety, the SP Traffic directed instructors to ensure trainees receive comprehensive education on traffic laws, defensive driving and responsible road behaviour. Expressing satisfaction with the school’s performance and arrangements, he said such initiatives would help strengthen traffic management and promote safer driving practices across the district.
