Rs 21bln development package announced for Batagram

PESHAWAR, Jul 09 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Thursday included 19 development projects for Batagram district under the Khushhal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Budget 2026–27 to accelerate development and improve public services.

According to official documents, the projects cover 10 key sectors with a total estimated cost of Rs21.02 billion.

The development portfolio included schemes related to road infrastructure, healthcare, education, clean drinking water, irrigation, tourism, sports, energy, urban development, and other essential public services.

Officials said the projects were aimed at improving the quality of life, creating employment opportunities, strengthening the local economy, and promoting tourism and commercial activities in the district.

They said the initiative would help lay the foundation for a modern, developed, and prosperous Batagram while ensuring sustainable development and long-term benefits for future generations.
