Three Dhamyal police officials arrested in corruption case; SHO suspended
RAWALPINDI, Jul 08 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera has ordered the registration of a case against three Dhamyal Police Station officials after an inquiry confirmed corruption allegations against them.
According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesperson, the action was initiated after a citizen lodged a complaint alleging corruption by officials of Dhamyal Police Station.
On the CPO’s directions, an immediate inquiry was conducted. After the allegations were found to be true, a criminal case was registered against the three officials, identified as Hamza, Sayab and Naseem, and they were arrested.
The CPO also ordered the suspension of the Station House Officer (SHO) of Dhamyal Police Station for negligence of duty and directed that a charge sheet be issued against him.
Sukhera said corruption, abuse of authority and negligence in official duties would not be tolerated under any circumstances, adding that strict action would continue against any official found involved in misconduct.
