LAHORE, Jul 07 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday paid glowing tribute
to Nishan-i-Haider recipient Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed on his martyrdom anniversary.She said his unmatched courage, steadfastness and supreme sacrifice in defence of the motherland would forever remain a source of inspiration for the nation.
In a message issued on the occasion, the chief minister said Havaldar Lalak Jan
Shaheed thwarted the enemy’s nefarious designs despite sustaining severe injuries,
displaying extraordinary bravery and unwavering commitment to the country’s defence.
She said the valiant soldier set the highest example of courage, resilience and patriotism,
adding that Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed was a national hero whose memory would
always live in the hearts of people.
CM Maryam Nawaz said the martyrs who laid down their lives for the security and
sovereignty of the motherland were the pride, honour and true defenders of the nation.
She added that the sacrifices rendered by the country’s brave soldiers could never be
repaid and would always be remembered with profound respect and gratitude.
The CM said that the nation salutes its martyrs and remains committed to honouring
their unparalleled sacrifices for the defence and dignity of Pakistan.
